About the job

You have already a few years of experience in front-end and back-end development. You are an expert in PHP and WordPress is no secret for you.

Our WordPress developer will work with part of the marketing team here in Amsterdam.

The role will report to the Head of Content and Digital Marketing in Europe and is located in our EMEA headquarters in Amsterdam Zuid.
As a unique position in the company, we will ask you to come to the office every day of the week.

Your task and responsibilities will include

  • Working within the marketing team in Amsterdam but also in the US
  • Managing the portfolio of websites
  • Manage and optimize the hosting solution
  • Optimize the backend of our website for internal users
  • Optimize the backend to integrate a page builder
  • Make sure our website is full accessible on all devices
  • Make sure the website is performing at its best (website speed, availability and rendering)
  • Maintain our digital asset management tool (AWS, Resource Space)
  • Staying abreast of developments in web applications and programming languages.

What do you need to succeed

  • 2-5 years of experience
  • Develop and support software including applications, database integration, interfaces, and new functionality enhancements
  • Knowledge of MySQL
  • You’re familiar with front-end technologies like HTML, CSS
  • You’re analytical and good at time management
  • You have great communication and problem-solving skills
  • You’re curious about new technologies and you’re excited to find ways to implement them in your work
  • You can oversee and drive projects forward
  • You can read, write, and speak professional English as we have people from many different countries working at SHOWA
  • You are willing to come to the office 5 days/week
